Every year, lakhs of students dream of getting into India's top National Law Universities. But not everyone can afford expensive coaching or test series. CLAT Pathshala was born from a simple belief that quality mock tests and preparation resources should be free and accessible to every law entrance aspirant in India.
The founder's story
CLAT Pathshala was founded in 2017 by Pankaj Kumar Shukla, a law graduate from the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi, one of India's premier National Law Universities.
During his time at NUALS, Pankaj experienced firsthand how competitive and demanding the NLU ecosystem is. He represented NUALS at the prestigious RMLNLU-SCC International Media Law Moot Court Competition, where his team emerged as national winners — an experience that deepened his understanding of what it takes to succeed in law.
After completing his LLM from the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Delhi, Pankaj moved into the EdTech space, spending several years shaping curriculum and academic strategy for law entrance preparation at a leading organisation.
Having worked closely with thousands of aspirants across India, one pattern kept appearing: students from smaller towns and limited financial backgrounds were consistently disadvantaged — not because of ability, but because of access to quality resources.
This is why CLAT Pathshala is back now — reimagined, relaunched, and rebuilt from the ground up. This time, with a mission to democratize law entrance preparation for every serious aspirant, regardless of their financial situation.
